Well guys, it’s been a long run. We launched this website on October 30, 2008, and after three years, we’ve never missed a single weekday to bring you yet another 5-second detour into madness.
So goodbye forever.
Just kidding, we’ll never stop.
Just kidding, we’ll probably stop when we have kids and get over the whole “internet comedy” thing.
Lots of people ask what our end goal is, though.

At one point, many many moons ago, I imagined we’d get big enough to just sell the rights and concept to some company trying to push a new smartphone onto the market. Then I’d finally go make my quiet, sensitive musical about limbless Indonesian protestors in love. But it all backfired when we realized two core truths about internet comedy:
1) There’s not a lot of money to be made in internet comedy.
2) Read a book.
These days, 5SF has assumed its true mantle, as an excellent excuse to drink beer, eat chips, and hang out with people we like. Without it, we’d never get to hurl invectives at croissants, take a huge bong rip while under enemy fire, kick Patton Oswalt in the nuts, shoot children at point blank range, have sex with the garbage disposal, ask lobsters questions, drive a washing machine, dodge babies as they rain from the sky, or touch puppets in bad places.
Actually, that last one we already did when we were children, long ago in court. In fact, that might explain why we made this website in the first place.
From the bottom of our asses, we hope you enjoy 5-second films as much as we enjoy making them. After three years, we would not still be here if we didn’t love rubbing our brains together to make comedy for cool folks such as yourselves, who like to laugh. It’s the real reason we do what we do.
Seriously. Beer and chips aren’t that great.
