Worst Balloon Trip Ever

I shouldn’t have sucked it in when Rousselet and I first met during Shirtless Handshake day. Let that be a lesson: Always tell the truth, even when it hurts.

Wouldn’t the heat from the volcano make the balloon rise?  I’m just sayin’.

Actually yes it would have made the balloon rise up… but cause they are soooo fat! It won’t. They should have just started throwing up.

Maybe they aren’t in a balloon but just a wicker basket falling from space.

The bemused look on Michael’s face in the final second makes me giggle.

You know… it’s films like this that are creating the image crises with young children today! Fatties need love too!

I don’t see what the big deal is… they can just lava-surf their way out of this situation…

actually air balloons rise based on the difference of the heat inside the balloon vs the heat outside (hot air rises over cold air). so basically they will drop even if they lose all the weight in it.

So 5SF is both funny and scientifically accurate, eeeyaaaaaay.

Really, the heat from the volcano would NOT raise them. The only reason that works normally is the hot air in the balloon has less pressure than the cold air outside, so it floats. With the temperature being hot both inside AND outside the same effect would not occur. It is also possible that A) it is hotter ouside the balloon than in, causing them to fall faster, or B) the air currents generated by the heat of the volcano would collapse the balloon anyway. Maybe both.
