5 Seconds of Slip (Ed Wood 2006)

“Slippery When Wet” was the line to be used at USC’s 2006 Ed Wood Film Festival. With a 24-hour deadline looming (much of which was spent in Fatburger waiting for a AAA truck to get the keys out of our locked car), we were up against the gun to confuse, annoy, astonish and offend as many film students as possible. We won no prizes, a sure sign of success in this regard, and celebrated our underachievement with a basket of Tex-Mex Spicetastic Fajita Poppers at Bennigan’s.

That would be the classic theme from the film “Cape Fear”, by Bernard Herrmann.

Mr. Herrmann also wrote the scores for such films as “Citizen Kane”, “Vertigo”, “North by Northwest”, and of course, “Psycho”, amongst many others.
