Coincidentally, Mike has no idea that the coffee he was drinking in the tree was secretly replaced with Folger's crystals. He spilled it on his face anyway.

MineTruly02.17.10 @ 3:21pm
@ Ellie, it gets more exciting when he describes Phineas’ ass. After that point, you read it as a novel about boy/boy love.

I read this book for High School English class as well. Not only was it mind bendingly boring, I never wanted to reach into the pages and slap the shate out of two characters so much in my entire life. Narcissistic whiners.

“This was the tree, and it seemed to me standing there to resemble those men, the giants of your childhood, whom you encounter years later and find that they are not merely smaller in relation to your growth, but that they are absolutey smaller, shrunken by age….[for] the old giants have become pigmies while you were looking the other way.”
